Pumpkin Patch

We had a great weekend! We went to the arboretum Sunday to see all the beautiful flowers and pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun, a little on the hot side but fun. Michael was amazed with all of the people, screaming little kids, bright orange pumpkins and the bales of hay. Which he spent most of his time trying to eat!

We were able to take some great shots in the pumpkin patch of Michael but after about fifteen minutes he had enough! After thinking back it's kind of funny to think of all the funny faces, noises and extremes we had to go through to get him to smile. Usually he is such a happy camper but he wasn't having any of it Sunday. Overall it was a fun day and I look forward to going back...maybe for Christmas.

Michael's First Haircut

Saturday we took Michael to get his first hair cut. I guess I didn't really know what to expect but well...excitement and that I got! Daddy got to hold him while I was put to "entertain". I think I was more excited than Michael as I stood there calling out his name to try and get him to look at me for more than ten seconds so the hairdresser could cut his hair. I think I was more of a distraction! I don't know if I was more afraid of him crying, getting accidentally cut by the scissors or him getting a "bad" haircut but I was scared! AND then it all happened, I STARTED CRYING. At first I didn't know why or maybe I did but I didn't want to believe it. Either way I couldn't try and hide it anymore as tears are just streaming down my face! As I turn around to look at Michael it hits me, my baby is growing up. ( He just looked so handsome and well a little older with his new do) At this point all that's going through my head is...OH MY, if he's only going on six months I can't imagine the years of tears I'm about to endure.

Now that it was all done I could sigh a sigh of relief. No nicks,no tears ( except from mommy) and no bad haircut and he did great! Hopefully we won't be back at the barber shop any time soon. Oh and that's the picture I took right when we got outside.
